Create Android App without Android Studio for Free

Do you want to make an Android app, right?. But don’t want to download Android Studio? In this post, I’ll show you how to create a simple Android app without installing Android Studio on your PC. By using Firebase Studio, we can create many apps - not only Android apps. Let’s get started step by step.

Step 1: Go to Firebase Studio

First, open your browser and go to Firebase Studio. It's a tool developed by Google.

Firebase Studio is a tool that helps you make Android apps without installing Android Studio. It is web-based, so you can use it from any computer.

Step 2: Sign in with Google

You need to sign in with your Google account. Just click on the “Sign in” button. If you are already signed in and new to studio, it will ask to accept the terms and conditions as shown in the screenshot below.

Click on confirm to continue to studio.

Step 3: Give prompts

After signing in, you can give prompts to prototype your app.

For example, I can make a simple calculator app in android using prompt "Create an android calculator app with clean and simple design".

• Click “Prototype with AI”.

Optionally, you can also click on the android studio icon at the bottom or click on "New Workspace".

Step 4: Create new workspace

Click on the Android Studio Cloud button and give name to your app.

It will take some time to create workspace for the first time.

Step 5: Create your app in Android Studio Cloud

Now when you have the cloud workspace, create a new app and start working on it. Once you created your app, you can build it and export it. You also get an emulator that works on cloud so you can test your app there.

1. Click on “Build” at the top.

2. Select “Generate APK”.

3. Wait a few seconds — it will build your app.

4. Download the APK file.

Now you have your Android app ready! You can install it on your phone or share it with friends.
